| The
Texel sire selection day was held at Chelford Auction Mart on the 11th
August 2000. The members of the scheme have a chance to select which
animals they will use, within the scheme, as reference sires for the coming
year. The standard was high with a lot of very good animals entered
from many of the breeders within the scheme. It was extremely pleasing
to see, despite the problems facing the industry, so many high quality
animals.
